Electrical Inspection

An electrical inspection is a comprehensive evaluation of your entire property's electrical system, conducted by one of our licensed electricians. This thorough inspection covers all parts of the property, including the crawl space, attic, and any outbuildings, to identify anything that does not meet the safety standards set by the National Electrical Code (NEC), established by the National Fire Protection Association.

Our licensed electricians use their knowledge and expertise to identify potential safety concerns throughout the system. They also use specialized tools, such as a thermal imaging camera, to provide visual proof of issues like overheating electrical panels—something that would be difficult to detect otherwise. Photos are taken of any problems found, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the condition of your electrical system.

Once the inspection is complete, you will receive a digital electrical inspection report. This report includes a detailed checklist showing which parts of the system are safe and functional, and which areas require attention. For any issues that failed the inspection, the report includes photos and code references from the National Electrical Code (NEC). Additionally, we provide quotes for any necessary repairs, so you have a clear path to address any problems.

If you're shopping for a home, an electrical safety inspection is an important step to take. While a general home inspection is absolutely recommended, it provides only a general overview of the entire property and is conducted by someone who is not a licensed electrician. General inspectors will look for key issues, like identifying electrical panel brands that may not be covered by home insurance or checking for GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) outlets near water sources, but they lack the expertise to provide a full assessment of the electrical system.

Our licensed electricians give you a comprehensive understanding of the home's electrical system, so you can make your home-buying decisions with the full cost of any future repairs in mind. This ensures you’re equipped with the information you need to move forward confidently.
